What if ...

What does the year 2007 have in store for you?  Some say that this year is one of economic success.  Mother Nature will be kind to us but the stock market will experience erratic spikes.  But what if 2007 is the year you join the sorority of breast cancer patients.  How will your life be affected?

What if ...

You or someone you love hears those four dreaded words…you have breast cancer!  You will experience fear, anger and denial.  And when those feelings subside you will seek out your higher being and try to bargain with Him to change the diagnosis.  And you will discover that this is a club that you cannot quit. You must follow the path of all other members and under-go surgery and/or radiation and chemotherapy.

What if ...

After all is said and done you discover you are still alive?  But what does alive mean to you?  You may or may not have a breast and you certainly will look at life a bit differently. The year you are in treatment your life will change on many levels, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.  It is the first day of the rest of your life and it is entirely up to each one of you to grasp every opportunity and reflect on what you have and become more caring and sensitive toward the people around you.
