As well as the ‘fun’ events, several of our women volunteer
with the sick, the elderly and with newborns. If anyone asks
for our help and we can provide it, we try to find a way to assist.
More than Kelowna... we like
to TRAVEL together, too.

In
2005, we made a trip to compete in Germany. Our Past President, Colleen
Cross was instrumental in planning and executing this once-in-a-lifetime
trip. Our Mission was to raise awareness of all that breast cancer
survivors can achieve. We believe the trip was an all-round success,
and we came home with a trophy (not ours, but that's a whole other
story.) Our German hosts made a trip to experience the Kelowna
Dragon Boat Festival in September, 2006 and have since organized
a breast cancer team.
